About
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former domestic violence advocate, Jason specializes in providing evidence-based psychotherapy and advocacy-based counseling for survivors of relationship abuse and other traumatic experiences.
"I'm a very practical therapist. I like methods that work. I like working with useful information and reliable techniques. That's especially true when it comes to treating trauma symptoms. Fortunately, advances in brain and behavioral sciences lend themselves to just such practical insights and techniques for significantly reducing PTSD symptoms (not to mention for anxiety and depression). I love offering those kinds of "hands-on" tools to my clients and watching what they do with them to improve their quality of life and sense of well-being.
Along with my passion for applied brain science, I also bring to session an innate sense of compassion and empathy, as well as a strong commitment to principles of client self-determination and self-leadership. In other words: My clients make their own treatment goals and move at the pace that feels best to them; I trust a person's natural capacity for self-knowledge and resiliency to lead the way.
If that approach sounds like a good fit for addressing your mental health needs, let me know how I can help."
